Metal Shearing

Shearing, also called die cutting is the process we use to cut metal pieces to precise widths and lengths from bigger stock sheets to suit your designs. Shears are used as the preliminary step in preparing stock for stamping processes, or smaller blanks for CNC presses.

Our metal shearing services include shearing, cutting to length, saw cutting and miter cutting. We can process the following materials for shearing up to 6.5 mm. Material thickness ranges from 0.125 mm to 6.50 mm (0.005 to 0.256 in). The dimensional tolerance ranges from ±0.125 mm to ±1.5 mm (±0.005 to ±0.060 in).

Metal shearing is a fast, effective, and precise way to cut straight-line metal shapes. Using a power shear for these types of parts is more cost effective than laser or plasma cutting, and it is the ideal option for a single part or large production orders.
